Rideable Privacy Policy

The short version

Rideable is local-first. Your family's profiles — names, heights, ride preferences, accessibility notes, ride logs, photos — live only on your device. We have no accounts, no login, and no server that stores your family's data. We can't see it, sell it, or lose it, because we never have it.

What stays on your device

• Family member profiles (names, heights, ages, ride preferences, accessibility flags)
• Your ride log, ratings, notes, and photos
• Trips, bucket lists, badges, and settings
• The app's self-learned crowd history for parks you browse

Backups you export are files you control; they contain this data, so share them only with yourself.

What leaves your device

• Live park data requests: the app fetches wait times, hours, and showtimes from Queue-Times.com and ThemeParks.wiki. These requests identify a park, not a person.
• Map tiles: park map imagery loads from Google Maps (Android). Google's collection is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Outbound links you tap: ticket, hotel, and gear links open third-party sites (with our affiliate code attached — see below). Hotel searches include the park, your trip dates, and traveler counts — never names, ages, or profile details.
• Anonymous usage analytics (optional): we record which screens and buttons are used, tied to a random identifier the app generates — not your name, email, or device id. Family profile data is never attached to analytics events. Used solely to improve the app, and you can turn it off any time with the "Share anonymous usage stats" switch in Settings.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links (park tickets, hotels, packing gear) are affiliate links: if you buy after tapping one, Rideable may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence park scores or recommendations — those are computed on your device from your family's profiles and our ride data.

Children

Rideable is a tool for parents. Kid mode is a supervised, on-device view; it creates no accounts and sends no data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — we do not collect personal information from anyone.

Notifications

Wait alerts and show reminders are scheduled and delivered on your device. No notification content passes through our servers (we don't have servers).

Your choices

• Delete the app and all data goes with it.
• Export/delete individual members, rides, or trips in-app at any time.
• Turn off anonymous usage stats with the switch in Settings — affiliate links and every app feature work identically either way.
